The role

We’re looking for a mid-to-senior QA Engineer to own quality across our core product suite. The primary focus of this role is manual testing. There is currently no test automation in place, and while building it out will be a smaller part of the role to begin with, it is an area we expect to grow over time. You will have the opportunity to help shape how automation is introduced and scaled as the QA function matures.

This is a hybrid role based in Kuala Lumpur.

What you will be doing

  • Design and own the QA strategy across our core product suite, covering functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing

  • Perform thorough manual testing across features, releases, and regression cycles

  • Begin laying the groundwork for test automation, starting with high-priority user journeys, with scope expected to grow over time

  • Participate in sprint planning and requirement reviews to embed quality early in the development process

  • Collaborate closely with engineers and PMs to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and resolve defects quickly

  • Document test plans, test cases, and QA processes as the function matures

  • Analyse defect patterns and provide clear reporting on product quality and release readiness

  • Advocate for a quality-first mindset across the team

What success looks like

  • High-confidence releases with reduced production defects across all product surfaces

  • Clear visibility into product quality, test coverage, and release risk for the engineering team

  • Faster feedback loops for developers through well-structured QA processes

  • Strong collaboration with Product and Engineering that improves both quality and team efficiency

Our benefits

  • Make a Real Impact: Opportunity to contribute to a leading digital health company's rapid growth.

  • Fast-paced Start-up Environment: Experience an environment where you get to own and make tangible impact without bureaucracy getting in the way of rapid decision-making.

  • Great Team: Collaborate with intelligent, friendly, and supportive professionals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Hands-on Learning & Growth: Gain hands-on experience in strategy, partnerships, operations, and product innovation within a growing industry.

  • Competitive Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation and performance-based bonus.
